Patient Information Project

We would like to introduce ourselves to you all –  we are Carol Summers and Shirley Atkinson, and we job share the role of Macmillan Network Patient Information Manager.

So, working closely with colleagues, in the LSCCN and throughout the Trusts, we aim to cover all aspects of information provision throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria. We will be leading on the implementation and establishment of Information Prescriptions following guidelines from the National Cancer Action Team and drawing on the invaluable work many have already done in preparation for this launch.

We look forward to meeting and working with many of you in these exciting and challenging times, sharing our expertise and building on existing services to ensure we get the best information services for our users.
